Nice to meet ya! I'm a rising senior at USC's Marshall and Iovine & Young Schools- studying Business and Product Design. Previously UX @ Newegg. Currently Designing @ JobGet.
Design's like an ever-evolving puzzle for me. That's why I enjoy it so much- designing deeply human experiences to foster a safer community. I'm a self taught designer who wants to create social good and craft better experiences for those around us. I want to help improve lives. To design solutions for the betterment of all of us. We'll be spending the majority of our existence on this Earth, in this society. Let's make it a safe and nice place to be 😊.
From historian to accountant and now, designer. For the longest time, I wanted to be a curator of some historic Victorian house museum (I'll just stick to visiting now lol). After hearing all my life "what are you gonna do as a history major," I decided to give "business" a chance. What would it be - investment banking, IT consulting, or accounting maybe? A couple experiences later, I can say been there, done that, and it was definitely not for me.
Some friends in my finance class convinced me that going for design was worth a try. If you love it, you should go for it. I had been too scared to drop the whole business scheme for designing in tech. I didn't know interaction and product design even existed, until then. And, I had zero ideas where or how to start.
Fast forward two years, I fall in love with design more every single day. Each project is a challenging learning experience and I'm so grateful for everyone I meet on my design journey.
When I am not studying or designing, you can find me in the kitchen baking up new dessert recipes for my blog, A Short Girl's Feast (It won the Editor's Choice Award for the 2019 SAVEUR Blog Awards!).
I am also a big Queen fan, adopter of piggy plushies, antique collector, hobby genealogist, period drama enthusiast, military history buff, future kitchen designer, and amateur cook (pastas 🍝, bulgogi 🥩, quinoa salads 🥗).
